Gears Tactics is a strategy game that has been developed by Splash Games and The Coalition. It is a turn-based and fast-paced game from one of the most famous video game franchises – Gears of War. The game has been published by Xbox Games Studios and was released on 28th April 2020 on multiple platforms including Microsoft Windows and Xbox One. It has been developed by using the Unreal Engine 4.

Storyline
The gameplay’s storyline features a set of aliens known as Locust Horde that have attacked humanity on the planet Sera and are trying to eliminate it altogether. Under such circumstances the chairman of Coalition of Ordered Governments, Richard Prescott, orders all cities located outside the Jacinto Plateau to be incinerated using the Hammer of Dawn.
Sergeant Diaz is the key figure in the game and is located in Aldair City. He takes charge and tries to eliminate the Locust scientist that goes by the name Ukkon and is responsible for the whole mess. The key attributes of Sergeant Diaz are shown in the below image.
Gameplay
The game is played from a top-down perspective where players issue commands to their units in order to eliminate the nearby enemies. Several secondary objectives also need to be completed during each mission. Players are provided with the liberty of roaming around and exploring the terrain as per their liking.
Characters
The game consists of several characters which are shown in the image below. Each character possesses a forte of its own and players are required to explore what each character does best and thereby utilize it for that purpose for getting optimal results.
Players need to keep an eye on the health of each character as the inability to do so can result in the loss of a character. Gears Tactics also provides the ability to revive downed characters back into the game with reduced health.
Visuals
The game features superior quality graphics with high attention to detail. The use of vibrant and punchy colors makes the overall experience extremely engaging and addictive. One such example is illustrated in the image shown below which depicts that the bright colors make the gameplay highly immersive.
Final Verdict
The overall high-quality graphic content and superior visuals have been appreciated by players from around the world. However, several players have been found complaining about the storyline, which according to them is boring and consists of repetitive missions.
