Dune: Awakening release date and what we know about the game so far!

If you have been following the news and updates regarding Dune: Awakening, you will know that at the moment there have not been any announcements of a release date despite many hoping we would have heard something by now.

Sign-ups are being taken for beta access to Dune: Awakening which is a very good sign that development of the game is going well. If you have not signed up for the beta yet, you can do so by going to the Dune: Awakening official website and registering using your email.

It does not look as though we will be getting a release date for Dune: Awakening any time in 2023 but it is looking promising that we may see something in 2024 or at least, many of us are hoping!

One thing we do know for sure though is that Dune: Awakening will be released on PC as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. Those who are console fans and prefer to play their games from the comfort of the sofa will be especially happy about this as it’s not often we see MMO releases on home entertainment systems.

Now let’s get onto what we know about the game:

Dune Awakening is an MMO developed by Funcom which is set in the world of Dune. Players of Dune Awakening are referred to as a sleeper in the beginning and will start the playthrough of the game as a castaway who wakes up in Arrakis and has nothing but a knife to use as they fight for survival.

Throughout the game, you will have the ability to gather materials to be able to craft weapons and also build up your own guild to help you survive. The weapons you craft will be something you can use to defend yourself against the sandworms as you survive.

I don’t know about you but I am very excited for Dune: Awakening and can not wait to jump into the beta!

Hopefully, we hear more very soon regarding a release date!
